Build Notes
Clothing - Sport Lycra printed from Spoonflower.com. Repeating pattern created by myself. Piping custom made, and put into clothing. Unpon realizing that the yellow and green were too bright, covered clothing in a thin layer of black pain with an air brush to darken the colour and dull it out. All clothing patterns were based off the Captain America Stealth suit patterns and adjusted for the different fit. Shoulder badges made from 1/4" foam and secured with E6000. Primed black, air brushed gold.
Chest armor - Sport Lycra covering 3/4" foam and quilted to give design on back. All sewn together with a walking foot machine. Strapping on front is 1" elastic attached to buckles for look. Chest piece is made from foam, molded with darts, and barged together before being secured to the cloth with E6000. Primed black, painted metallic green and slits cut in for the 2" elastic on the chest piece. Everything layered and made from foam. Buckles on shoulders were primed black, and painted gold with an airbrush to give it that worn look.
Bracers - Rubber cut to shape, barged together, and primed black before being painted red. Secured with 1" elastic around forearm.
Gloves - Stretch pleather made to fit my hand, painted with walk on red from Angelus Paints, back of hand armor is foam attached wtih E6000.
Knee pads - 1/2" black foam, secured together with contact cement and fitted to my kneed with elastic. Detailed with silver using an airbrush.
Spats - adjusted from Captain America Spats, and painted red with Angelus Walk on Red.
Shield - made from 2 layers of 1/2" foam, with a slight curve on the pattern to give the same curve to the shield from the show. Secured with webbing and buckles to attach to arm. Primed and seald with Gesso, and painted gold as a base before using black on the airbrush for detailing.
