Abyss Watcher - Phase 2 Dark Souls 3

 Phase 2 Abyss Watcher from Darks Souls 3 made for Anime North 2018.

Hat: Crafted out of foam, glued together. Painted with Acrylic Metallic silver, and black puff paint for the abyss lines.

Sword: Crafted out of Insulation foam board, with a resin casted center. LED wire was inlayed before Resin casting, switch on the back of the sword. Total of 2 meters in the Sword. Filigree made with foam and hot glue to give a raised effect. Resin mixed with silver glitter to give more diffusion. Primed with Gesso, painted with Acrylic Metallic silver.

Dagger: 3D printed and painted by Gordon Wu.

Knee guards: Made from foam, with foam cut at angles to give a sharp pointed look in the center. Painted with Metallic Silver Acrylic paint, and secured with elastic straps. Weathered with a black and silver mix

Faux Chaps: Sewn out of Leather look in brown, with clips sewn onto the front. Secured to the cosplay by more leather look straps tied underneath the chest piece.

Belts: sewn out of Leather look in brown. Hand sewn.

Chainmail: Graciously donated by Ryan Steinman. Mostly hand put together by Ryan, modifications made by me, sewn into the black leather look jerkin.

Jerkin: Made from Leather look in black, laced in the front with black cotton cord, hand grometted. LED wire ran through the Jerkin, total of 4 meters.

Gambinson (Undershirt): Stiff fabric for collar, laced to the Jerkin. Long sleeves, sewn together. Arm bandages made from same fabric, different colour.

Pauldron: Made from Foam and Worbla, secured with elastics. Painted with Metallic Silver paint, and weathered with a black and silver mix.

Face mask: made from foam, secured with elastic around the head. painted with a black and silver mix, acrylic.

Gauntlet: Repurposed glove from Strike Commander Morrison, made with foam for moveability, and painted with metallic silver paint, weathered with a black and silver mix.

Cape: Maroon broadcloth, tied around the neck. LED wire woven into the cape, sewn at the end to prevent loss of wire. Black puff paint for the detailing on the edge of the cape.

Total Crafting time: 50 hours total.

COST: $400 for materials.
